A new chapter opens for the Rochon Experts-Conseils team

The mechanical and electrical engineering team of Rochon Experts-Conseils, which celebrates 35 years of existence this year, is preparing to open a new chapter in its history.

Indeed, its founder and vice-president, Michel Rochon, will take a well-deserved retirement as of June 17.

To take over the reins of this fine team, President Étienne Rivard and Michel have chosen Mr. Jean-François Alie, Eng. PMP AE LEED as the new vice-president of this division. Jean-François started on May 9 to complete a 6-week transition in this role with Michel.

In founding Rochon Experts-Conseils, Michel had given himself the mission of developing a firm that is human and close to its customers and partners. Over the years, he has created solid partnerships with many clients and other complementary firms, particularly on the South Shore/Montérégie territory. Today he can say: Mission accomplished!

In view of this retirement, Michel Rochon sold his firm in September 2019 to Infrastructel and its president Étienne Rivard. He had seen in Infrastructel and its management team, a company with a strong human dimension, sharing the same values and for which the Rochon team would add expertise that is complementary to what was already in place in terms of Infrastructel's services.

''It is with a certain emotion, but with the feeling of accomplishment that I leave this organization which I founded on September 14, 1987. I am proud to have led this team for 35 years and to have built the solid reputation that our group has in the territory of the South Shore and Montérégie. I have confidence that Jean-François and Étienne will be able to bring this group to another level in the coming years.’’

– Michel Rochon, Eng.

Having taken over the firm founded by my father and having been at the forefront of his retirement in 2017, I can very well imagine the feelings and emotions that drive Mr. Rochon currently. I am also aware of the impact that such a transition can have on our customers, partners and our employees.

– Étienne Rivard, CPA CMA – President

I am very enthusiastic about the idea of taking over and it is a privilege for me to be able to take over this team and the role of Michel. We have a solid foundation that we can build on to further develop this group.

– Jean-François Alie, Eng. PMP AE LEED – Vice-president Building

Jean-François' profile and experience fit perfectly into the vision of development, growth and diversification planned for the Buildings group.

Join us in wishing Michel Rochon a happy retirement and in wishing good success to Jean-François Alie in his new role.
