RÉSEAUX TECHNIQUES URBAINS
As part of a Ministry of Transportation project for the Ville-Marie and Viger tunnels, Bell mandated INFRA to relocate a large block of 50 conduits and associated cables under the St-Urbain Street overpass, between St-Antoine Street West and Viger Avenue West in Montreal, to ensure the sustainability and safety of the infrastructure for the coming years. This highly complex project required extensive planning and sequencing, taking into account the physical environment, the client's desire to streamline the networks, and coordination with the Ministry.
As part of this project, INFRA's multidisciplinary team carried out the following activities:
- Renconstruction of two congested access shafts
- Construction of a 175m long 24 duct array including special supports
- Streamlining of existing copper networks to reduce replacement costs
- Major replacement of fiber optic cables, a key network artery for the client
- Planning of the work sequence
- Quality monitoring of the work
