As part of an ongoing mandate with the City of Rouyn-Noranda, assuming the responsibilities of both the City and the Regional County Municipality (MRC), our urban planning team is responsible for the complete revision of the land use and development plan (SAD).
As part of a mandate with significant future impact on the city, we have:
- Updated the land use and development plan to meet new government requirements;
- Analyzed territorial issues related to mining activities and their interactions with living environments, taking into account the socio-economic, cultural, and recreational characteristics of tourism specific to Rouyn-Noranda in developing the territorial vision;
- Produced a regional diagnostic profile to identify priority development directions;
- Defined the main parameters of the land use and development framework in a preliminary manner;
- Developed a renewed vision to guide municipal and regional actions in the coming years to ensure the sustainability and vitality of this strategic region in western Quebec.
