RÉSEAUX TECHNIQUES URBAINS
The Natura district is located along the eastern extension of Pierre-Dansereau Avenue and Marcel-de-la-Sablonnière Street, extending to the Terrebonne shoreline. The Natura district includes:
- Approximately 3,100 housing units
- Single-family homes and multi-family dwellings
- Approximately 50,000 square feet of commercial space and high-density residential buildings
- Along Pierre-Dansereau Boulevard
- An elementary school
- Two daycare centers
As part of this large-scale project, INFRA's RTU and Public Lighting team conducted a planning study of the underground civil infrastructure requirements for electricity distribution, telecommunications, and street lighting. Our RTU team has:
- Planned the power supply requirements for 3,100 commercial and institutional units and buildings
- Coordinated underground infrastructure requirements with Hydro-Québec
- Coordinated telecommunications requirements with Bell and Videotron
- Conducted photometric studies to determine streetlight placement
- Performed civil engineering for all these requirements
- Performed electrical engineering for lighting
- Assisted the city with the tendering process and provided office support
- Supervised the construction work.
As this project was part of a larger municipal infrastructure engineering mandate in collaboration with the firm CDGU, coordination between CDGU and the city was crucial to meeting the ambitious deadlines set by the City of Terrebonne.
