URBANISME
The revision of the development plan of the MRC of Mékinac aims to guide a coherent and sustainable territorial development by integrating local realities, recreational tourism, resort life and the preservation of natural environments.
The update of the Mékinac Regional County Municipality's (MRC) land-use plan is part of a strategic approach aimed at ensuring the document's compliance with the new government guidelines on land-use planning. This revision establishes an updated and coherent vision that will guide all municipalities in developing their local planning. The project places particular emphasis on recreational tourism and vacationing, two essential components of the regional identity that contribute to the economic vitality and attractiveness of the territory.
The approach also aims to strengthen the protection of natural environments, landscapes, and environmental resources to ensure the harmonious development of the territory while preserving its long-term assets.
